Parleremo degli aspetti botanici dello zafferano a partire dalla composizione del bulbo fino a parlare dei fiori per poi descrivere la coltivazione e le tecniche di impianto. Il Crocus Sativus è l’unico Crocus capace di generare una spezia commestibile e bisogna fare attenzione a non confondere un particolare tipo di bulbo selvatico che è velenoso.

Descriveremo lo zafferano parlando delle sue numerose proprietà come ad esempio gli effetti benefici sull’umore e il suo potere antiossidante. Pensate che lo zafferano ha più di 90 usi medicinali.
Proprio per le sue caratteristiche, lo zafferano può essere usato in ogni pietanza e le sue componenti sono importantissime perfino in cosmetica.
Basta pensare che lo zafferano contiene 2000 volte il numero di carotenoidi contenuti all’interno dei più comuni ortaggi.

Descriveremo, quindi, l’uso e come riconoscere quello buono attraverso un esame visivo. È importante sapere che lo zafferano, dato il suo elevato costo, è sempre stato manipolato e adulterato con numerose componenti diverse che passano il valore e senza proprietà benefiche.

L’uso dello zafferano in cucina e di come questo si usa, utilizzando gli stimmi interi si possono ottenere dei piatti davvero buone. Addirittura lo zafferano può essere utilizzato in una tisana o aromatizzando un tè.

Parleremo dell’ apicoltura, come vengono fatti i prodotti che comunemente conosciamo come ad esempio il miele, pappa, il polline, la propoli, la cera.
Le api compongono un organismo molto complesso fatto di gerarchie e ognuno ha il proprio ruolo cercando di lavorare in modo più efficiente possibile aiutandosi l’una all’altra per la sopravvivenza. Un esempio: sapendo che la regina non deporrà più uova, le api maschio vengono allontanate dalle famiglie per evitare il consumo inutile di scorte invernali.

Proveremo ad intrecciare il mondo dello Zafferano e dell’apicoltura. La coltivazione dello Zafferano è nata dalla passione per i Crocus e da una esigenza dovuta alla volontà di riprendere l’attività agricola che un tempo era florida nei campi di proprietà di famiglia. Cisiamo sviluppati mantenendo sempre una connotazione artigianale.
Infatti tutti i prodotti aziendali sono fatti a mano e uno dei principi della produzione sul quale si basa l’esistenza stessa dell’azienda, è il rifiuto di utilizzare qualsiasi componente chimica sia in campo che in laboratorio Per questo abbiamo scelto di essere Azienda Bio e dal 2016 abbiamo ottenuto la certificazione di Agricoltura Biologica.  Dal 2015 abbiamo dato vita alla nostra seconda passione: l’apicoltura concentrando molte delle nostre energie verso  prodotti sostenibili e di alta qualità. I nostri prodotti sono ricercati ed unici e fatti tutti i con i nostri prodotti:

  • Bulbi di Zafferano

E “Aromatico”. Il miele aromatizzato. L’unico ad avere una moltitudine di varietà adatto a tutti i tipi di gusto. “Aromatico”, Gustarlo al meglio? Meglio il RITO!
